The essentials

Questions before
a domain acquisition.

Understand what a listing means, what to confirm by email, and what to plan before launch. These answers are general guidance; the actual transaction terms must be agreed separately.

How do I inquire about a .app domain?

Browse the portfolio, choose a domain, and use its inquiry link to open a draft in your email client. Ask acquisition@appvault.app to confirm current availability, price, renewal costs, and transfer options. Sending an inquiry does not reserve a domain or create a purchase agreement.

Does a .app domain require HTTPS?

Yes. Google Registry includes .app on the HSTS preload list, so browsers require HTTPS for .app websites. Your hosting provider must provision a valid TLS certificate before launch. This protects connections; it does not certify a website’s trustworthiness or regulatory compliance.

Will a keyword domain improve my search rankings?

A descriptive domain can make a service easier to understand, but no domain name guarantees rankings or traffic. Useful content, technical accessibility, reputation, and the quality of the overall site matter. Choose a name for users first, not as a shortcut to SEO.

Are these domains complete websites or software products?

The portfolio lists domain names, not functioning apps, legal services, or software subscriptions. Descriptions suggest potential uses only. Any included assets, licensing arrangement, or additional services must be explicitly confirmed in a written agreement.

What costs should I check before acquiring a domain?

Request the acquisition price, registrar renewal fee, possible premium renewal pricing, transfer costs, and any agreed escrow fees. Hosting, email, certificates, development, and professional trademark review may be separate expenses.

How long does a domain transfer take?

Timing depends on the registrar, domain status, transfer method, and any applicable locks. A same-registrar account change differs from an inter-registrar transfer. Confirm eligibility and timing with the relevant registrars before agreeing to a launch date.

Can escrow be used for a purchase?

Ask about escrow before agreeing to payment. The provider, fees, verification requirements, release conditions, and transfer process should be documented in writing. AppVault does not operate an escrow service, and this site does not collect payments.

Should I check trademarks before making an offer?

Yes. Check existing brands and trademarks in your intended jurisdictions, and seek qualified advice when needed. A domain listing does not establish trademark clearance, affiliation with a company, or permission to use a protected name.
